The treatment of varicocele in Delhi has improved reproductive results for numerous men who experience male infertility problems. Kiran Infertility Center (KIC) in Delhi has spent 30 years diagnosing and treating varicocele cases, which enable men to restore their sperm production and testosterone levels while achieving natural or assisted conception. Varicocele represents the most prevalent treatable cause of male infertility, which occurs in approximately 35 to 40 percent of primary infertility cases and up to 80 percent of secondary infertility cases in men. Although it occurs frequently, the condition remains mostly undiagnosed. Our male reproductive health specialists at KIC use advanced andrology laboratory equipment and cutting-edge diagnostic tools to deliver precise diagnostic results and optimal treatment solutions to all patients who visit our facility.
The condition known as varicocele causes the pampiniform plexus—which is a vein network that exists in the scrotum to deliver blood from the testicles—to become abnormally enlarged. The failure of the valves inside these veins to operate correctly results in blood accumulation, which causes the veins to expand into a state that resembles varicose veins found in leg veins. The main way that varicocele harms sperm production and quality stems from its ability to increase scrotal temperature.
The clinical challenge of varicocele arises from its tendency to remain hidden without producing any signs. Most men with varicocele do not experience any observable symptoms until they undergo testing for fertility issues.
Not palpable or visible on physical examination. It is detectable only on scrotal Doppler ultrasound. Some patients may experience reproductive problems because of this condition.
Palpable on physical examination without the patient performing the Valsalva maneuver (bearing down). The object remains hidden from human sight.
The condition becomes completely detectable through scrotal skin examination without the need for special techniques. Higher probability of significant sperm impairment.
We follow a structured, evidence-based diagnostic pathway ensuring personalized care based on the full clinical picture.
Physical examination of scrotum and testes, WHO-standardized semen analysis, and hormonal testing.
High-resolution scrotal color Doppler to examine testicular volume and detect venous dilation/reflux.
DFI testing to quantify genetic damage in sperm cells that impairs fertilization and embryo quality.
Y chromosome microdeletion analysis and karyotyping where indicated for severe oligospermia or azoospermia.
Using an operating microscope to locate and tie off abnormal veins while safeguarding the testicular artery, lymphatics, and vas deferens.
Small keyhole incisions in the abdomen to identify and ligate internal spermatic veins. Suitable for bilateral varicocele (both sides).
Non-surgical vascular treatment blocking veins with coils or sclerosing agents. Used mainly for recurrences after initial surgical repair.
Estimates for early 2026. Costs vary based on surgical technique, unilateral vs. bilateral treatment, and anesthesia type.
